A Boreing Wedding

Our friend and pastor, Jeremy Boreing, married our friend Ann Hummel this weekend in the glorious state of Texas. We flew there Thursday night in time for dinner and drinks with all of our friends that arrived with us from LA.

Friday we helped set up at Jeremy's parents house, where the reception would be. The rehearsal dinner that night was a barn. Best steak dinner I've had in years! A family converted the barn into a restaurant and Jeremy's family rented it out for the night. 16oz ribeyes, baked potatoes, salad, homemade bread, homemade ice cream... Great food with great friends.

Alex and Mel! I love this picture. :)

The wedding was at the historic Harvey House in Slaton, TX. The pastor who did the ceremony was Drew Farley. Drew is author of "The Naked Gospel" available on pre-order from Amazon. We absolutely recommend this book. (http://www.amazon.com/Naked-Gospel-Truth-Never-Church/dp/0310293065/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1246945324&sr=8-1)

Next to Drew is Jeremy, of course, and bestman, Lee.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Boreing!! (I did the bride's hair for the ceremony. You can't see much of it here, but Ann was pleased. And that's all that matters!)

Our friends Lori Yohe and David Muller were the photographers for the big day. Dave attended our wedding and took some great pics for us too! Both are great photogs!

The wedding reception was a great catered BBQ dinner at Jeremy's parents house. Unfortunately, a storm rolled in and it poured for about 30 minutes. Everyone crowded inside the house to eat the delicious dinner. It made the reception so cozy and memorable. It was one of the best wedding receptions I've been to!

After the reception a group of us went to Fast Eddies for a little pool and a few drinks.

Zac Levi shooting a little pool. I set the camera to only capture the color green. Pretty cool, huh? Here's a few more! : )

Sunday night found us back at Crickets, the bar we went to Thursday night. In this pic are Jenna Hipp Muller (Jenna is a celebrity manicurist and did the brides nails for the wedding). Next to me is Zac's girlfriend Caitlin. Caitlin is a singer with a newly released album. Zac of course popping up at just the right time. lol

The entire weekend Joel and Zac were getting approached (some might say "harassed") for photos and autographs. I just had to take a "OMG it's Zac Levi" photo. Lol.

Last day in Lubbock. We had lunch with Ann and Jeremy and his parents. Then off to do a little sightseeing in Lubbock. Unfortunately those plans were cut short when we discovered that the Buddy Holly museum is closed on Mondays.

Couldn't miss a photo opp, though!! Buddy's giant glasses!

As we headed to the airport we realized we hadn't had any Chick-Fil-A while in Texas. So Joel found one for us and we when we arrived, we discovered that the restaurant was inside a hospital food court. Didn't faze us. We had lunch in the hospital food court!

It was a great weekend but it's wonderful to be home. Congrats to the newlyweds!!
