On Sunday (12/27) we drove up to Niagara Falls to see Jeff, Kara and Ruth Enns. Ruth is 21 months old and it was our first time meeting her.

In the car driving up. (Alex is talking to Wiafe, catching up...)

So close! One of many toll booths we had to stop and pay at. Grrrr...

So close!

About to drive over Niagara River.

No American Falls for us. We went Canadian!

This was a random building that changed colors and I thought was pretty cool. Turns out, it's a casino.

On the bridge between The US and Canada....

Long line to get through the border stop. Took us about 30 minutes.

The excitement! And anticipation!

We made it. They let us in. Now we just have to get back out tomorrow. :)

Dinner with the Enns'. As tourist, we felt it was important to partake in Canadian drinking customs.

Kara and Ruth

Look at that hair, I love it!!

Jeff and Kara took us to Tim Horton's for some delicious coffee and then over to the Falls for a quick picture Sunday night. Kind of hard to see but those are the falls behind us. :)

Monday morning we walked to the Falls for more pictures and then to Tim Horton's for more coffee! It was cold, but worth it.

Ruth is not affected by this cold weather. lol

Those are the American falls over Alex's shoulder and the Canadian Falls over my shoulder.

Group photo. Jeff is holding their dog, Taffy.

Alex really wanted to go for a ride on the Maiden of the Mist... We can't tell if I'm trying to keep him from jumping... or if I'm trying to push him over.

Aw!

Jeff and Alex.

Love this pic!!!

Kara, Ruth and I went to Red Lobster for lunch. They let Ruth pet a lobster on the way out. She wasn't too impressed.

Last picture of the falls, as we drove off.

Heading home (well, to Pittsburgh anyway)!

The weather was pretty bad on the drive home but we were in Emily's Yukon and Alex is a good driver. The photo doesn't do it justice. Yuck!

Roads are never too bad to re-route for Chick-Fil-A. :)
Quick bite and we were home by 11PM (6.5 hours drive...). It was wonderful seeing our good friends and meeting their beautiful daughter. We hope to see them all again soon!!!
